description: 'weekend agenda 2002' is the title of the last issue of Forum Magazine and also of the project Forum started in the summer of 2001. For this project the editors of Forum asked photographers, architects, artists, designers and writers to come to a deserted meadow somewhere in the north of the Netherlands to build their own structures from collected construction trash. Why? Because the editors wanted to open up the discourse of architecture for more diverse practices and insights. And the editors wanted to literally start anew and get away from the distant, descriptive role of the architectural journal. The limits of this experimental project are simple = to build 1. on an isolated location, 2. with trash, 3. and simple tools, 4. in a limited time (a weekend) 5. together with a group of three people that were also invited for that weekend. Within these limits the questions and answers arise that are important for the project . The results of the project were published as an agenda with only the weekends of the year 2002. An agenda, in which you can add your own contribution to the magazine. It becomes a magazine that doesn't represent but creates its own architecture/information.
